Sep 10, 2024 - Lee StratusOnProduct AnnouncementsEnsemble Updates ENSEMBLE Product Updates (August, 2024) As a result of our continuous product and service improvement ethos, these release updates were published for Maestro Studio ENSEMBLE in August, 2024: v0.9.0.3662 (8/3/24) Enhancement: When a new Azure App is imported from "the picker" or from a .zip file into the Design Canvas, the Preview web browser is cleared from any previous previews and reset to the initial page. This helps minimize confusion.. Bug fix: A benign issue in the Azure Portal caused by some CUID templates is now ignored even though not likely to cause serious issues. Bug fix: Certain complex UI expression patterns helped expose a bug in the expression parser when building the Abstract Syntax Tree (AST) for an expression. This only impacted dynamic properties of JSON objects returned by some function calls. Proactive fix: Automatically fix some trivial JSON issues with some Marketplace templates in order to improve the overall user experience (e.g., a tooltip being defined as a string for the MultiStorageAccountCombo control when it should be a JSON object is silently converted to an object with a warning message added in the Monitor log). Cosmetic: On the "Azure App" card on the What's New page, added a link to the corresponding how-to video. v0.9.0.3752 (8/29/24) Settings enhancement: The theme and color tabs can cause confusion with the way the 'make default' button persisted a change but not reflected it immediately. Specific verbiage was added to clarify the functionality and to set expectations for its behavior. New feature: Managed Applications lose the important benefit of ARM's pre-flight validation. When deployed on a brand new subscription that hasn't been primed (i.e., hasn't had its key Resource Providers, or RPs, registered), the deployment of a Managed Application fails if the ARM template contains a resource belonging to one of those "unregistered" RPs. This does not happen with Solution Templates since pre-flight validation works fine there and takes care of the pre-registration. Can now choose to add pre-registration of the essential RPs (Compute, Network, Storage) from the Quick Actions menu ('+' icon) of the "basics" pane. New feature: The TextBox, DropDown and OptionsGroup UI controls support an "InfoMessages" property that can be set to a collection of "information" or "warning" messages. This is now fully supported in the Design Canvas UI in ENSEMBLE. Additional Resources: Visit our website to learn more about StratusOn and our products.
