ENSEMBLE Product Updates (July, 2024)

As a result of our continuous product and service improvement ethos, these release updates were published for Maestro Studio ENSEMBLE in July, 2024:

v0.9.0.3588 (7/5/24)
  • Bug fixes to improve the handling of certain UI definition JSON payloads.
  • Added ability to copy individual messages from the Monitor log.
  • Fixed scenario where looking for an error far down in the UI and then loading a new marketplace offer keeps the scrollbar positioned in the lowest location, causing confusion.
  • The design canvas now shows info tips to alert the user that they're viewing with some key validations turned off (in case they forgot to toggle settings back on) to avoid potential confusion.

v0.9.0.3594 (7/9/24)
  • Improved loading of broken expressions into the Expression Editor.
  • Improved validation for TextBlock control: additional validation was needed for empty fields as required by the MS linter tool.
  • Expression validation parser logic was unnecessarily complaining in some scenarios where the CUID Parse and Split functions were used.
  • Managed App widget had outdated links to Azure Commercial Marketplace GitHub repo's sample templates.
  • Updated error message on the validation errors web page displayed when clicking "Preview" button while there are validation warnings/errors.
  • Minor cosmetic UI fixes.

v0.9.0.3599 (7/11/24)
  • Critical bug fix: An internal serialization mechanism used to store and represent the data model of the UI definition had a flaw that manifested with a specific data pattern which prevented previewing and saving Azure Applications with that data pattern.
  • Minor cosmetic improvements.

v0.9.0.3603 (7/12/24)
  • Bug fix: Lambda expression parser was not accounting for embedded lambda expressions and for brackets embedded in strings inside a lambda expression.
  • Bug fix: Deployment template resources were checking for duplicate resource names regardless of whether the resources have different types (in which case duplicate names are allowed).
  • Enhancement: Some refactoring issues are now shown in the Monitor logs as warning messages and also in the Preview within the embedded web browser when attempting to preview while disabling validations.
  • Enhancement: Now showing the warning messages regarding disabled validations in the main Design Canvas only and no longer showing them in the Expression Designer's Design Canvas.

v0.9.0.3608 (7/14/24)
  • Settings: Changed default for "Disable CUID Location Constraint Visible OFF Validation" setting to true (i.e., disable it by default).
  • Cosmetic: Tooltip for PasswordBox control was showing the value of the Password field next to the Confirm Password label.
  • Added PasswordBox validation for the ValidationMessage for emptiness (similar to the Regex field) to be consistent with arm-ttk.
  • Added support for a new ARM Template schema version (2019-08-01) since it is being used by some published offers.
  • Fixed a bug with how a UI expression is identified.  Added a regular expression to get a correct validation and exclude incorrect edge cases.
  • Fixed bugs with the JIT evaluation of greaterlessgreaterOrEqualslessOrEquals, and equals functions when one of the operands is an expression value placeholder and utilized our normalization utility to give it a valid value during JIT eval.
  • Added an auto-correction mechanism to the ResourceSelector control to convert invalid ToolTip object to valid ToolTip "strings", similar to ToolTip misconfiguration issues in other controls.
  • Logged additional informative messages in Monitor from the JSON parser during deserialization when there is an issue with the JSON files to help identify issues for easy remediation.

v0.9.0.3628 (7/29/24)
  • Bug fixes in the DropDown and OptionsGroup controls related to storing "Allowed Values" when specified as an expression.
  • Update What's New view to include a card providing 1-click access to the Azure Application picker.
  • Updated the new composition "Instructions Popup" to include a mention of the "shopping bag" icon for accessing the Azure Application picker.
